It is White’s turn to play. If he does not do something, Black will go to A and make it a moot point, in a big loss for white. What do you think the correct move is for White?
I am keeping up as best I can with the daily tsumego study program, but have yet to know if there are results in my play.

In the above diagram, If Black A, White B, Black C is the assumed consequence of playing away from this position. If White was simply to play at A in an attempt to stop this from happening, it would create something you should recognize as bad shape. Look at the result in your head: it is a long dragon, with the left side bound, completely blocked in along its length, so that all that remains is the head, which is pointed into the wall.
